Our Juicy Story

Dean and Nicole’s story began with a blind date and a cup of hot green tea…

We met on Dean’s doorstep in the Fall of 2009 (Yep, Nicole broke the cardinal rule of online dating: Always meet in a public place) and we’ve been inseparable ever since.  Together we share a zest for life that makes every day (well, almost every day) feel like recess. To say that health is our passion is an understatement. It’s our purpose – and inspiring others to be their healthiest and best selves fulfills that purpose.

In the summer of 2010, we unknowingly planted a tiny “seed” that would later grow into juice company called (you guessed it) JuiceRx.  That seed was a casual dinner conversation we had about health and cleansing.

Nicole: ‘One of the greatest things one can do for their health and longevity is to cleanse regularly. We change the oil in our cars and we clean our homes, but how often do we clean our own insides?’

Dean: ‘Agreed! Hmmm… how would someone cleanse without taking a week or more off of work to fly somewhere for a cleansing health retreat?’

Nicole: ‘One of the best ways to cleanse is to do a juice fast, but making the juices can be messy, inconvenient and tedious… especially if you don’t have the right tools.   Plus, there aren’t many nutritional cleansing companies in Chicago, and the few that do exist don’t typically use organic ingredients.  And that’s really important when it comes to juicing.  How cool would it be if there was a local company that delivered organic juice cleanses to our doorstep so we could cleanse effortlessly whenever we wanted to?’

Dean: ‘That’s a great idea!  How about WE do it?’

And the next day when Nicole got home, Dean announced that he had just purchased the Mac-daddy of all juicers and there was no turning back now! Dean literally took the tiny seed we planted and grew it into a little plant overnight!  And the rest, our friends, is history in the making.
